Before You Request
IT maintains a pool of licenses for commonly used software. Before requesting a new purchase, check if a license is already available:
Go to portal.company.com → Service Catalog → Software Licenses.
Search for the software title.
If a license is available, you can request assignment directly — no purchase needed.
Requesting a New Purchase
If no license is available, submit a purchase request:
Go to Service Catalog → Software Purchase Request.
Fill in:
Software name and version
Vendor / website
Number of licenses needed
Business justification
Preferred subscription type (monthly / annual)
Submit for manager approval.
Once approved, IT will procure and provision the license within 5 business days.
Important Notes
Do not purchase software independently and expense it — all software must go through IT procurement to ensure security review and license compliance.
Free/open-source tools also need IT approval before installation on managed devices.
