Overview
Access to systems and applications is managed centrally by IT. All access requests must be submitted through the IT Service Portal and approved by your manager before provisioning.
Submitting an Access Request
- Log in to portal.company.com.
- Go to Service Catalog → Access Requests.
- Select the system or application you need access to.
- Fill in the business justification field — be specific about why you need access and for how long.
- Select your manager as the approver and click Submit.
Approval Process
- Your manager will receive an email to approve or deny the request.
- Once approved, IT will provision access within 1 business day for standard systems.
- Access to sensitive or restricted systems may take up to 3 business days and require additional approval.
Temporary Access
If you need temporary access (e.g., for a project), specify the end date in the request. Access will be automatically revoked on that date.
Checking Request Status
You can check the status of your request at any time under My Requests in the portal.
