Windows Errors
"Your device is not compliant with company policy"
This means your device failed a security check — usually because updates are pending or the endpoint agent is not running. Fix: Run Windows Update, restart, and ensure the security agent is active.
"You don't have permission to access this resource"
Your account doesn't have the required access level. Fix: Submit an access request via the IT Service Portal.
"No internet connection" (when others are connected)
This is often a DNS or IP issue rather than a physical connection problem. Fix: Run ipconfig /flushdns in Command Prompt, then ipconfig /renew. Restart your browser.
Microsoft 365 Errors
"Your license has expired"
Your Microsoft 365 license needs to be renewed or re-assigned. Fix: Contact IT — do not purchase a license yourself.
"We're having trouble connecting to the server" (Outlook)
Usually a temporary connectivity issue. Fix: Check your internet connection, then close and reopen Outlook. If it persists for more than 15 minutes, contact the helpdesk.
VPN Errors
"Authentication failed"
Your password may have changed since the VPN profile was saved. Fix: Click "Forget saved credentials" in the VPN client and log in again with your current password.
